Rockford, IL-The Belvidere Bucs return to Wyeth Stadium in Rockford to against the Auburn Knights. The Bucs would begin the game kicking off the Knights. The Knights would fumble on their opeining drive on 3rd and 9. Buc Linebacker, Marcus Gooden would recover the ball. With 9:47 left in the 1st quarter, Buc quarterback, Troy Vandenbroek would pass to Splitend, Reed Greiter, to get the first score of the night. The Bucs would lead 7-0.

This is where the story shifts to the issues with ball security with the Bucs in the first quarter. The Bucs would fumble on 5 times in the game, 3 times in the first quarter. The Knights would capitalize on the Buc misfortune and score three times halfway through the second period. The Bucs would gather a little bit of their composure and score two more times before the half ends on a 41 yard pass from Vandenbroek to Kyle Harris and a 3 yard run by halfback, Maurice Jackson. The score at the half would have the Knights leading the Bucs, 22-20.

The Bucs would come out of the break seemingly more focused and would hold the Knights off from scoring and garner 4 more scoring opportunities; a 10 yard run by Marcus Gooden and a 2 yard run by Kyle Harris in the third period, and, an 8 yard reception by Kane Steger and a 9 yard run by Kyle Harris. The final would by 46-22.

The Bucs numbers would be 297 yards of total offense (180 yards on the ground and 117 yards through the air). On the defensive side, Linebacker, Jake Hayes would lead the Bucs in tackles with 15 (9 solo tackles and 6 assists). A special mention needs to go out to Jonas Pedersen, the Bucs foreign exchange student and kicker, who kicked a total of 459 yards on 8 attempts (average of 57.38 yards per kick), which included 3 touchbacks, and made all 4 of his extra point attempts.
