Belvidere Bucs vs. Guilford Vikings

            What a great feeling!  Our sophomores got their first taste of what hard work, focus, and preparation leads to with a 15-14 win on Friday.  It is hard to describe how great we as coaches feel for the kids.  Even the Varsity coaches were expressing their pride in how well the sophomores played. 
            The defense really played fundamentally solid.  They did what they were coached to do; everyone handled their responsibilities and turned in a solid performance.  Offensively we put together some solid drives.  Guilford had to adjust their defense because of how effective we were. 
            With such a huge win for our sophomores, part of our job as coaches is to keep our focus on beating Freeport and work towards having a winning streak.  I know these kids enjoyed the feeling of celebrating a win and are hungry for more.  Thanks for all who came and cheered us on!
