Well, not the thing we wanted to see happen at Guilford but we will take what we can from that performance and move on. 

The game started the way we would like on offense with us driving the ball for a score on an 80 yard drive.  With that we moved the ball almost every possession only punting one time the entire game. The story on offense this week was not scoring points and costly mistakes in the red zone.  After looking at the film, the stat that bothered me the most was that we were inside the twenty yard line 5 times and did not come away with points.  We must take advantage of this and score and we will.


 On defense however we played simply "poor".  We did not do fundamental skills that need to be done to win football games at the varsity level.  We missed way to many tackles to win this football game.  We gave up to many yards after contact and this also will change.

The positive from this however has been the reaction of our players after the loss.  They have become more focused and hungry this week in practice and are doing what we need to do to correct mistakes and get better.

The players are anxious to get back on the field to make a statement and this week I think they will.

By the way the team that does not get a lot of attention our JV team that plays on Saturday morning did win and are currently 3-0 in the conference.
