As we traveled over to Swanson Stadium preparing to play East, the mood of the players was one of confidence and determination. Confidence in the team new they could win and determination in the team wanting to play mistake free football.
Overall we did just what we set out to do with a few exceptions. The weather did not fully allow us to complete our game plan and do all the things we set out to do but we did get better and win the football game.
The real story this week however in not so much a recap of the East game but more of a preview of next weeks game.
Year after year the week of Boylan vs Belvidere is one of the most intense weeks of the year. It does not matter what the records are of either team. In this game you must perform and play mistake free football to come out victorious.
We have been preparing for this game for two weeks as well as running Boylan scout team all summer. We are coming into this game with a play-off mentality and pulling out all the stops to earn our 5th victory of the year. not only would this qualify us for the playoffs but it would mean even more to qualify by beating a team like Boylan.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday at the High School office. I hope we can pack the place and bring home a victory.
Go Bucs!
