Coach's Corner

Prior to this week's Homecoming game, we constantly told our Seniors that this game will always be remembered.  It is a special game and will be talked about for years to come at reunions and get togethers.  We talked about the importance of our team having fun and being a part of all of the festivities surrounding the week but first and foremost winning the football game.  We talked about how we, the coaching staff, enjoyed coaching this team and how proud we were of their attitude and work ethic and that good things will happen.  Fortunately for us, the good things started happening Friday night and we were able to come away with a win versus a very well coached East team.  The tone was set by our defense all night, keeping the E-Rabs off of their game.  At the same time, the offense showed spots of excellence, scoring when needed and finishing the game off with a long drive.

This week we host the Boylan Titans at Funderburg Stadium, in which they come in with a three-year conference winning streak.  Our goal is to pull out all the stops this week and play our best game to prevail.  Fortunately for this week, we can say we have not played our best game yet and will need to play our best game to keep us in the playoff chase, as well as, knock down the Titans.
