Year in Review and Thoughts About Wauconda Game

Where has this season gone?  It seemed to go so fast with all the new things going on in the community and the two schools first ever meeting.  The season as a whole did not meet all of our season goals but we did achieve more then some expected.  We had some great individual achievements this year as well.  Patrick O'Brien rushed for over 1000 yards, Charles Chatman lead the conference in receiving and Kyle Tevebaugh led the conference in all purpose yards.

This week starts the IHSA playoffs.  We were awarded a home play-off game this Friday at 7:30 p.m.. vs Wauconda High School.  Wauconda also has a 7-2 record and placed 2nd in their conference.  Wauconda is a power team with a great running back that gained over 1200 yards this season. They like to base block and run it at you.  On defense, they run a 5-2 front with a cover three secondary.

Wauconda will be a formidable opponent as we would expect once you get into the playoffs.

I hope we can pack Funderburg on Friday night and show them what football is all about in the NIC-10.
