by BHS Football Head Coach Matt Weckler

One week into the playoffs and you can already see the intensity and quality of the teams are higher. If you were at the game Friday night you understand what I am talking about. The game was as physical of a game that we have played and Wauconda was a physical of a team as we have played against all year. We new they had a great running attack but we were not as aware of how good of an athlete Wauconda’s quarterback was. He made some big plays that kept them in the game in the First half.
As for our offense, I was very impressed with how we were able to move the ball and this shows how we can play when we control the ball, which is what we are going to have to do this week vs. an explosive Robeson Team.
On defense we got pretty beat up losing a couple of Linebackers for maybe the season. This is where that depth of a 5A team compared to a 7A team comes into play.
A sneak peak of Robeson sees us matched up with a team that has a quarterback and split end that have already verbally committed to play football at the University of Minnesota next fall. They are very explosive and can score from anywhere. Our defense will have their work cut out for them
The game will be played on Saturday at 1pm at Gately Stadium. It is the home of the old Soldier Field astro-turf which will make our opponents seem even faster. We hope to see you all in attendance.
