Girls’ Swimming and Diving 09-10 Season Outlook

The word is out!  The 2009 Lady Buc Swim Team has nearly doubled in size since last season!  The NIC-10 doesn’t know what’s coming!  We are anticipating an exciting season full of personal bests-both in the pool and as growing citizens. 

We have an incredibly committed group of young ladies.  Each day after school, they ride half-an-hour by bus to the pool, complete a full practice, board the bus again, go home, eat and finally start on homework, only to wake up the next day and complete the cycle all over again.  Despite this full schedule, our ladies embrace this as a time to organize and prepare themselves, helping them grow into responsible citizens.

With growing numbers come higher expectations for our season.  Our ladies understand there is a higher amount of competition in-house for meet selection.  They are pushing each other to benefit the team as a whole and as individuals.

Goals for our 2009-2010 Season include:

• Each swimmer to set a personal best
•  Be in contention for conference
• Compete at the state level
• To have FUN!!

We make our first splashes in competition Thursday, September 3rd at Woodstock North High School and Saturday, September 5th at Fremd High School in Palatine.

Consider us the “underdog” this season.  Never count us out.  Our team has the Buc attitude, Buc drive, and Buc passion.
