Coach's Corner

We have had an amazing week at tennis.  The girls are improving match by match.  Our first Doubles team which consists of two seniors Ashley Schwartz and Maria Ledesma are consistently making good showings and winning matches. At the Fremd Invitational they were the only Bucs to win a match.  Maria, formerly a singles player, is really giving 100% to learning basically a whole new game.  My second doubles team consisting of Holly Tarczynski and Haley Lundin are really coming along.  They won their first match against heavy hitter Guilford on Thursday in a 3 set match. 

Then Sophmore Haley Lundin won two matches in the Bucs Invitational making her Appleby's athlete of the week.  The 3d doubles team of Ali Hearn and Kirsten Grundahl are our most improved players.  They have had 3 set matches all week with Elgin Academy and Guilford.  Then they won 2 matches at the Bucs invitational giving them the 3d place position.  Natania Miller our only freshman on Varsity won her first match at the invitational. 

Keith Country Day took the team title and the Woodstock team took second.  I am so proud of our: improvement, hard work, teamwork, and progress of the Lady Bucs Tennis team.  We are at home tommorrow against Freeport.
