Conference Match vs. East 12/19/2006

“Senior Night”

Thursday Night was Senior Night for us.  We only have one Senior on the team.  Melissa Christianson was honored before the start of the match.  She was given flowers and pictures were taken.

Now, on to the bowling.  On the Varsity side, Belvidere started off with a commanding lead of 1111-1014.  Alyssa Young started with a 212 and Brittany Shere helped with a 214 game.  In the second game, scores for us dropped with us only shooting a 988 to East’s 1053.  Our lead had not dropped and we only had a 32 pin lead going into the third game.  Alyssa stepped up once again and bowled a 212.  Ashley Schwartz followed that with a 215 and Kyra Tschumper also helped with a 222 game.  We shot 1130 that game and East dropped.  That gave us the win with a combined score of 3229 to East’s 3073.  Kyra finished with the high series of 592.

On the JV side, we were able to get the limit of 12 bowlers in.  Anna Cacciatore was able to bowl all three games by pacing the East team.  While there were no exceptionally high scores today, they girls bowled well as a team.  Christina Brock finished with the high game and series of 190 and 526.  Belvidere won 2570-2350.
