The North Boone Vikings hosted the Burlington

Rockets.
The game began with a Burlington Rockets kick-off
and the North Boone Vikings receiving. The strong Rocket defense impacted the Viking offense on their first
possession, forcing them to punt with a 4th and 12 at the Rockets 43 yard line. The Rocket offense quickly took
advantage of this opportunity. With a 1st and 10 at their own 12 yard line, quarterback Dan Hagberg ran the ball
87 yards for the first Rocket touchdown of the game and with a successful two point conversion the Rockets put
8 points on the board with 7:59 left in the quarter. For the rest of the quarter both teams went scoreless
ending first quarter with a score of 8 to 0, Rockets.
The Rocket offense started out strong yet again
early in the second quarter. On their first possession, with a 2nd and 9 at their own 44 yard line, Hagberg
made another amazing run for a 56 yard gain and another Rocket touchdown giving them a 14 to 0 lead. The Viking
offense decided enough was enough. On their next possession with a 3rd and 10 at their own 30 yard line running
back Angelo Johnson answered back with an amazing 70 yard run of his own, making it a 14 to 6 game with 6:45
left in the quarter. The Rockets, not satisfied with their current lead scored once again late in the quarter
as Hagberg ran the ball 30 yards for another Rocket touchdown ending the first half with a score of 21 to 6,
Rockets.
Second half began with a Viking Kick-off and the
Rockets receiving. After a short drive the Vikings returned possession over to the Rockets. With a 2nd and 7
at the Viking 41 yard line, Hagberg ran 42 yards for another Rocket touchdown bring the score to 28-6, Rockets.
Despite the strong Viking defense, Hagberg was able to run the ball for two more Rocket touchdowns ending the
third with a 40 to 6 lead on the Vikings.
Late in the fourth quarter the Rockets heated up
again for one last score. With a 4th and 7 at the Viking 29 yard line, Rocket player Max Kling ran the ball 29
yards for another Rocket touchdown. The game ended with a final score of 46 to 6, Rockets.
